Trash Transition This Week

The transition from New Vision to Patriot Disposal Services begins this week. Check out the new webpage:

Patriot Disposal Services provided a wonderfully comprehensive description of their services to the Web Committee, which has been captured on this webpage.

On Tuesday:

  • Place your trash out on Tuesday, so New Vision (old vendor) can collect your trash as well as your toter
  • If your recycling bin was not collected on Friday, place it out on Tuesday
On Friday:

  • Patriot Disposal Services begins collecting trash
  • They will collect your trash in any toter, even New Vision's, during this transition
  • Be sure to secure your trash
  • The HOA will not issue trash violation letters during this transition if you are stuck with more than one toter, but store them near your garage
Recycling

  • We now have a much wider list of what can be recycled. The highlights (see the full list below):
  • Rigid plastic containers #1 - #7. That's right! We are no longer stuck with just #1 and #2
  • Just about any paper (including cereal boxes, tissue boxes, hardback books...),
  • Any kind of cardboard, but it should not have any food waste (sorry no pizza boxes)
  • Wrapping paper is fine, but no metallic paper
  • Office paper (staples, paper clips and plastic windows on envelopes do not need to be removed)

Patriot Services also provides special collections (electronic recycling, big items qnd yard waste). The Web Committee will be releasing further announcements as on-line request forms for theses services become available.
