Electronic Recycling Event Near Belmont

LogoRecycling Loudoun County will be holding an Electronics Recycling Event on Saturday, September 25th from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.   There are only two recycling events held by Loudoun County each calendar year, so this is a good time to take advantage of this program.

It will be held just outside the boundaries of our Belmont Community at the Telos Corporation at 19886 Ashburn Road.  It is just north of the intersection of Russell Branch Parkway and Ashburn Road.

There is a limit of 15 items per vehicle.

The recycling fees (cash or check only) at the event will be:

  • Computer Monitors: $3 each
  • Televisions (all sizes and types): $12 each
  • All other accepted electronics: Free

Items that will be accepted at the event include:

  • desktop computers and laptops
  • computer monitors
  • servers and mainframes
  • circuit boards
  • disc drives
  • hard drives
  • modems
  • UPS
  • computer speakers/keyboard/mouse/cables
  • TVs
  • VCRs
  • CD players
  • cassette tape players
  • receivers
  • cable boxes
  • DVD players
  • stereos
  • radios
  • video games and consoles
  • digital cameras
  • camcorders
  • cell phones
  • telephones
  • pagers
  • answering machines
  • microwave ovens
  • electronic typewriters
  • calculators
  • scanners
  • printers (toner cartridge removed)
  • copy machines (toner cartridge removed)
  • fax machines
  • banking equipment
  • surge protectors
  • power and network cables
  • power tools
  • small household appliances including hair dryers, curling irons, clothes irons, and toaster ovens, and rechargeable batteries.

Items that will not be accepted include

  • large household appliances (washers/dryers, stoves, refrigerators, freezers, etc.)
  • stereo speakers
  • print/toner cartridges
  • non-rechargeable batteries
  • light bulbs
  • smoke alarms
  • thermostats
  • thermometers
  • boat switches
  • items containing mercury
  • items containing or emitting radioactivity
  • product packaging/cardboard boxes/Styrofoam packaging
  • user manuals.
